Photography of Leeds Bradford Airport from the Cemetery Road runway 14 viewing point.

Photographers, plane spotters, and families who want to see commercial and private aircraft take off and land at Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) are fortunate. The viewing point at Cemetery Road gives an almost uninterrupted view (a few trees need cutting back). You are so close to Runway 14 that you can hear, feel, and see the raw power of modern jet aircraft and observe the airport's operation as aircraft taxi, hold, take off, and land.

Fortunately, there was a slight breeze; it was a dry morning, and after some early flights and photographs, air traffic control at Leeds Bradford switched runway direction after one plane aborted landing and went into a holding slot to land from the opposite direction a little later.
